Coexist Foundation Home

  • God has given us many faiths but only one world in which to co-exist. May your work help all of us to cherish our commonalities and feel enlarged by our differences.

Para Daeza - A Three Faiths Garden

The Cambridge Coexist Programme has partnered with one of the world’s top garden designers, Chris Beardshaw, to create a ‘festival garden’ which we hope to launch at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2013. The Garden will draw on the rich history of faith-inspired gardens while also accommodating the complexity  and commonality shared by the three Abrahamic faiths. After Chelsea the Garden will travel around the country for 6 -9 month installations in high profile locations adapting to the locale and leaving a lasting legacy. The Garden will be accompanied by an exhibition telling the story of the relationship between religion and horticulture and an education programme for local schools – who will be invited to create a part of the design.
